Ingredients
- 3 pound beef chuck roast
- 1 cup water
- 2 scoops Vital Proteins Beef Broth Collagen
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup ketchup (no sugar added)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to slow cooker
- Stir to combine liquid ingredients and spices
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until roast is tender and falling apart
- Remove from slow cooker and shred
- Optional: add liquid from slow cooker to a large skillet or braising pan, bring to a simmer
- Let simmer for 20 minutes or until sauce becomes thick
- Add sauce over beef and stir to evenly coat
- Serve and enjoy!
