Greek Salmon Ingredients
To make this Whole30 Greek salmon, you will need to gather a few simple ingredients. Aside from the salmon fillets, the only other items you’ll need are for the marinade, which include olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic and some seasonings for the Greek blend. Those seasonings are dried basil, dried dill, dried oregano, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Adding dried parsley into the marinade, or finely chopping fresh parsley to garnish the finished salmon is an optional addition. You could also top the baked salmon with a dollop of dairy free tzatziki or fresh lemon wedges.
Choose the Right Salmon
Salmon is one of my go-to proteins, especially on busy weeknights. It’s something we always keep stocked in the freezer because they thaw really quickly, and it’s one of the fastest proteins to cook, almost always under 20 minutes. This makes it ideal for getting dinner together on the fly or when I haven’t planned in advance.
Beyond those benefits, salmon is one of the healthiest fish available. It’s incredibly rich in vitamins and minerals, including plenty of potassium, D and B vitamins, omega-3s, and selenium. Salmon is heavily influenced by the environment they live in and are caught in, so once your salmon gets to you, the health and freshness of the fish impacts not only the taste but also the quality. Salmon is one of the things I highly recommend choosing and eating the best quality of!
When it comes to choosing salmon, getting it straight from the source is almost always best. In this case, the best is from the fishermen at Surrender Salmon. Surrender Salmon is a small, family owned business and from start to finish these brothers are the ones who take pride in sustainably catching the wild salmon in Bristol Bay, Alaska, bleeding and removing the pin bones right away, immediately flash freezing and vacuum sealing right on the boat, and shipping it to you.
It’s premium quality, hand processed salmon that is truly unmatched to anything you can find in a store. This fish tastes as fresh as the day it came out of the water and stays fresh in the freezer for up to two years. Stocking up on the individual 6-8 ounce portions to keep on hand for any time you need an easy, healthy meal is as easy as ordering online!
Surrender Salmon offers free shipping to midwest states on orders over $125, and a convenient flat rate shipping outside of the midwest. How to Cook This Whole30 Salmon Recipe
To bake your Greek salmon in the oven, you’ll first want to preheat the oven to 400 degrees F., and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then prep the marinade by combining the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and seasonings in a small bowl. The next step is to pat each salmon fillet dry on both sides, and place them onto your baking sheet.
Use a spoon or a marinade brush to coat the tops and sides of the salmon with the Greek marinade. Do this for each piece, ensuring not to overdo it on the oil, but also leaving enough of the garlic and seasonings on the salmon. The last step is to just place the sheet pan into the oven!
This Whole30 oven baked salmon only needs 12-15 minutes to cook, depending on how thick your salmon fillets are. Thinner fillets will be closer to the 12 minute mark, while fillets that are thicker will cook for 15 minutes. While they’re baking, prepare your vegetable sides or salad, if serving immediately.
Air Fryer Greek Salmon Instructions
Cooking salmon in the air fryer is so simple and foolproof. It’s one of my absolute favorite ways to cook it, and it’s so easy to throw in for fast lunches or dinners. To cook this Whole30 salmon in the air fryer, first start by setting the air fryer to 400 degrees F. if your air fryer requires preheating.
Then in a small bowl, you’ll combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and all of the seasonings. Mix everything together well so the seasonings are incorporated with the oil. Next, pat each of your salmon fillets dry and place them onto a plate, cutting board or other flat surface. Use a spoon or marinade brush to coat the tops and sides of the salmon with the Greek marinade.
Lastly, place the salmon into the air fryer basket or rack. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may only be able to fit 2 fillets into the air fryer and need to cook them in two batches. Cook the Greek salmon for 10 minutes on 400 degrees F., and then remove the fillets. Top with any of the optional garnishes just prior to eating.
Serving and Storing Your Salmon
There are so many options for ways to serve your Greek salmon. You can pair it with vegetable sides such as roasted broccoli, asparagus or crispy potatoes. It’s great over a bed of greens for a salad, or alongside of a Greek vegetable mix of cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion and black olives.
If you’re not keeping this meal completely Whole30 or paleo, you can serve your salmon along side of a pasta salad such as cherry tomato and feta couscous salad or Caprese pasta salad. The Greek salmon is also great flaked into an orzo pasta salad, or over a Greek salad with crumbled feta.

I made this just like the recipe says, but when it came out of the oven, I drizzled some coconut aminos and some lime juice on top. Delicious! Will make this again, for sure!

I found your website while looking for an air fryer salmon recipe. I used your marinade blend with another method: I placed a frozen 6 oz salmon fillet skin side up in the air fryer, cooked at 400* for 10 minutes, then flipped the fillet skin side down and spooned the marinade. Then continued cooking in air fryer another 6 minutes. Super simple and delicious! This is now my go-to salmon fillet recipe! Thank you! BTW your story is amazing! Congratulations!
