Air Fryer Butternut Squash Ingredients
You’ll need a large butternut squash for this recipe for starters, along with a tablespoon of either olive oil or avocado oil. For seasoning you’ll need a teaspoon of garlic powder, and a half teaspoon of paprika. Round it out with about a half teaspoon of salt (or to taste) and quarter teaspoon of pepper (or to taste).
Making Butternut Squash in the Air Fryer
Start by preparing your butternut squash if you haven’t already. Do this by first peeling it and then cutting it in half the long way. Then take a large spoon and scoop out the seeds from the core and dice it into roughly one inch cubes.
Next, place the squash cubes into a mixing bowl along with the oil and spices. Toss it together until it’s evenly coated.
Add your seasoned squash to the air fryer basket. Make sure its in as even of a layer as you can depending on your size of air fryer. Set the air fryer to 400 degrees F and cook for about 16 minutes.
Shake or flip the squash halfway through. Add a couple of minutes to the cook time if you want it a little crispier. Just keep an eye on it so it doesn’t overcook!
If you go with larger cubes for the squash you may need to add to the cook time depending on how crispy you prefer it.
This recipe may take multiple batches depending on the size of your air fryer and the size of the butternut squash you’re using as well.
